AARYAN SALMAN
President
Aaryan founded Global Citizenship Foundation with the vision and drive to strengthen participatory and inclusive democracy through the promotion of citizenship education in India.
He is currently one of UNESCO MGIEP's 30 Youth Leaders on the Prevention of Violent Extremism (2020) and a Special Observer at the UNESCO APCEIU's 5th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED.

He was previously the Program Development Officer of Verbattle. Aaryan graduated in Mass Media and Advertising. He earlier held the positions of Program Officer and Program Manager at Verbattle. Prior to joining Verbattle, he worked as Sub-Editor at Outlook Magazine and Foreign Policy Analyst at World Focus Journal.
He has a special interest in foreign affairs, development communications, capacity building, human rights, education and democracy.
ASHOK K PANDEY
Chairperson, Council for GCED
Ashok K Pandey is the Chairperson of the Council for GCED. His tenure as an educator and school leader has spanned over three decades. He is currently the Director of Ahlcon Group of Schools. Earlier, for 17 years, he had been serving as the Principal of Ahlcon International School, ranked amongst the best in India.
Ashok Pandey has also served as the Chairperson of National Progressive Schools’ Conference (NPSC), a leading association of progressive schools in India.
Ashok is an active partner to the UN’s Act4SDGs campaign and he has been at the forefront of fostering United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals in various schools across India, through his initiative SDG4QEducation.
KUVAM MEHTA
Vice-President
Kuvam graduated in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and was the Chief Minister's Good Governance Associate in Haryana (2018-19). Previously, as a Gandhi Fellow he has worked towards improving student enrollment, learning and teaching outcomes, capacity building, hygiene and sanitation in rural public schools.

Kuvam has worked on the implementation the PLDP (Principal Leadership Development Program) and Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) to develop leadership qualities in principals and teachers and bring about systemic changes in government schools in the villages around Ratangarh.
​
He has also taken up various public sector projects like Swacch Gram and local fundraising for school development in the State of Rajasthan.
ARIJIT GHOSH
School Audit Specialist
Arijit is the School Audit Specialist at Global Citizenship Foundation. He has been associated with the K-12 Education sector for 16+ years. He has a rich experience in policy advocacy, academic research, teacher training, teacher audits, curriculum design in context of 21st century skills and digital innovation in work spaces. He is an leading expert in the domain of mentoring action researchers to bring change in the classrooms and guiding leaders to bring about systemic changes in the schools.
A postgraduate in Marine Science and an MBA in Human Resources, Arijit has been a professional quizmaster and has conducted various quizzes at school and at corporate houses. He was awarded the global teacher accreditation award by Cambridge Foundation in 2014 for his work on quizzing.
Having started his career as an educator, he has held senior positions at Macmillan Publishers India Limited, Pearson Education and British Council in India. He is currently the vice President at Education Quality Foundation of India, where he works towards helping institutions improve their quality of teaching-learning.
