David Adams is the Author of The Educator's Practical Guide to Emotional Intelligence and the Director of Strategy at The Urban Assembly, a group of 23 public middle & high schools in the USA. David has earlier served as Director of Social-Emotional Learning at the Urban League. He published multiple academic papers around the relationship of social-emotional competence, & students' academic & behavioral outcomes. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CASEL & is a Civil Affairs Officer in the Army Reserve. David holds an M.Ed in Educational Psychology from Fordham University.
