The curriculum design team includes individuals and institutions who are looking at working in tandem with like-minded fellow educators, global practitioners, organizations and researchers in the field of global education and global citizenship education.

SANDHYA VENKATESH
Sandhya Venkatesh is the Principal of Mount Litera Zee School, Goa.
She is an award-winning Principal and is the author of various competitive books. Science Olympiad Foundation felicitated her with The Best District Principal Award in the year 2013-14 and again in 2016-17. Lions Club of Dabolim has felicitated her for her distinguished service in the field of Education.
Under her leadership, Mount Litera Zee School has received many awards like the ISA Award from the British Council and Best School Award; Best ICT Usage Award and School Having Best Innovative Practices Award in 2017 by Brainfeed Magazine.
Sandhya has been teaching for over three decades and has been a Principal of prominent schools in India for almost 25 years. She has joined the efforts of Global Citizenship Foundation in shaping, implementing and advancing Global Citizenship Education in Indian schools.

COMPOSITION OF THE COUNCIL
The Council are all GCF members who represent a range of institutions from across India and a range of constituencies involved in Citizenship education from early childhood care and education (ECCE) to higher primary and university education, from youth settings and NGOs.
The Council comprises a Chair, Vice Chair, Editors of GCED Journal, Webinars and Conference planning group and Council Members. All roles within the Council are voluntary and attract no financial reward.
STEP 1
STEP 2
The Member Institution (MI) sets up a Strategic Initiative Group (SIG) at the school. The SIG selects a GCED Coordinator from amongst the SIG members.
STEP 3
The MI sends the duly filled CGCED Membership Form to Global Citizenship Foundation (GCF) both via email and courier/post. The MI receives the acknowledgment letter from the Global Citizenship Foundation.
STEP 4
The MI completes the formalities mentioned in the acknowledgment mail including registering the SIG and making the payment of annual membership fee to become a representative member of Council for GCED.
STEP 5
The MI is assigned a buddy school and a theme, each term. The MI is given access to the Trackers, Tools and Ed Resources. Refer to our Whole-School Approach to GCED to know more about the term duration and the outline for schools.
STEP 6
The MI plans the entire activity calendar and a roadmap to adopt the Whole-School Approach keeping in mind— Continuous Professional Development, GCED Academic Development, 100 Acts Challenge and Community Engagement through Global Citizenship Festival/Exhibition.
STEP 7
Submission of the task/activity report and supporting documents regularly to the Council's Cluster Audit Committee (CAC) for review.
STEP 8
Celebrate the micro-milestones and major breakthroughs through recognition program and the prestigious 'League School' mark for your institution.
ABOUT THE CLUSTER AUDIT COMMITTEE (CAC)

Two to five member schools make one cluster.

The CAC will be a primary audit center for the cluster.

The cluster will collaborate and ensure the successful implementation of the GCED-MAP.
